Recreation - 'Give it a Go!'
Recreation – ‘ Give it a Go!’ provides a platform on which local sporting clubs and recreation organisations can showcase their activities to the wider community. Specifically the program aims to:
1. Encourage the community to participate in a sporting or recreational pursuit
2. Increase membership/participants of participating organisations
3. Promote non-traditional recreational activities in a rural area currently dominated by traditional sports such as football, cricket and netball
4. Promote the social and health benefits of recreation by encouraging participation,
5. Establish partnerships and foster relationships with community organisations
